David Bakradze has been appointed Georgia's state minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

The corresponding decree was signed by Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, press service of the country's government said.

Prior to this appointment, Bakradze served as the country's ambassador to Greece and Serbia.

He has 12 years of diplomatic experience. During this period, he worked as the senior advisor to Georgian embassies in Sweden and Finland.

Alexi Petriashvili resigned from the post of state minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration on Nov.13 following the dismissal of Irakli Alasania from the post of defense minister.
