Georgia's Defense Minister Mindia Janelidze introduced Dec. 1 his new deputies to the defense ministry's civilian office and the leadership of the Georgian armed forces' general staff.

Gocha Ratiani will serve as the first deputy defense minister of Georgia.

His activities will focus on the implementation of reforms in the ministry, which imply an increase in the civilian control over the armed forces of Georgia.
