Any infrastructure project must serve the interests of the Georgian state, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Tamar Beruchashvili told reporters, commenting on the statement of the Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
The Chechen authorities develop plans to build a railway from Russia to Georgia through the territory of the republic, according to Kadyrov.
"Any infrastructure project that is significant for Georgia, must serve only important economic and political interests of the Georgian state," said Beruchashvili. "So, if there are negotiations on this topic, it will become the subject of discussion and the public will know about it."
