Tbilisi, Georgia, Jan.18

Georgia will start to issue electronic visas from late February, the country's Economy Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said on Jan.17.
"Intensive work is underway on this issue," said the minister. "We suppose that the system will start operating by late February, however, probably we will have to correct many things in the process."
Kvirikashvili added that currently, one of the main tasks of Georgian government is to maximally simplify bureaucratic administrative barriers created in accordance with the regulations that were adopted several months ago.
Georgia was deprived of not only tourists, but also investments as a result of adoption of the new regulations, according to experts.
