The visit of the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to Georgia is scheduled for April, the agriculture and food minister of Belarus, Leonid Zayats said Feb. 2 in Minsk, the RIA Novosti news agency reported.

Speaking at a meeting of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Georgian commission on economic cooperation, Zayats said the President Lukashenko is expected to meet with his Georgian counterpart.

He also proposed the Georgian delegation to discuss the steps to boost bilateral economic cooperation.

Zayats underscored that the bilateral economic cooperation's level can't satisfy the sides, as it doesn't correspond to the countries' potential.

The minister proposed to discuss the agenda of the meeting of the intergovernmental commission in order to demonstrate the results of practical work to the presidents in April.
