Russia's State Secretary and Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin spoke with Georgian Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze on Nov.28, reported the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The sides discussed a number of current issues concerning bilateral Russian-Georgian relation, the ministry reported.
No further details were provided.
Tbilisi broke off diplomatic ties with Russia after Moscow announced that it recognized the independence of Georgia's separatist regions - Abkhazia and South Ossetia (Tskhinvali region) in August 2008.
At the moment, the two countries maintain dialogue as part of the Geneva discussions and regular meetings between the Georgian PM's Special Representative Zurab Abashidze and Grigory Karasin.
