The Georgian and Romanian Ministers of Defence have discussed Black Sea security and the countries’ roles in ensuring security in the Black Sea area, Agenda reports.
Georgian Defence Minister Levan Izoria met with his Romanian counterpart Mihai Fifor today.
Fifor stated that Georgia and Romania are "key players” in Black Sea security.
The Romanian official reiterated his country’s support for Georgia’s integration into Euro-Atlantic structures such as NATO and the EU.
The ministers stated that this year both countries’ celebrate the 100th anniversary of independence and expressed eagerness to attend events dedicated to this significant date.
At the end of the meeting the defence officials signed a deal to further enhance the military relationship between the two nations.
