Georgia appoints ambassador to Estonia

Archil Karaulashvili has been appointed as Georgia’s new ambassador to Estonia, Trend reports via Georgian media outlets.
Prior to this new appointment, Karaulashvili served as Director General for European Integration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
Karaulashvili will take office on November 11.
He will replace Tea Akhvlediani, who was appointed as Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia in June.
Georgia and Estonia established diplomatic relations on June 17, 1992.
The Estonian Embassy opened in Georgia in 2006, and the Georgian diplomatic mission in Estonia - in 2007.
The countries have very close relations - 20 international agreements on cooperation in various fields have been drawn up between them. Priorities are areas such as defense, security, economics, tourism, environmental protection, education and culture.
