BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15

By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

The government of Georgia has already attracted international financial assistance in the amount of $3.5 billion from various international institutions, including World Bank (WB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union (EU), said Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava, Trend reports via Georgian media.

“We have already attracted this aid. This is a practically resolved issue, since Georgia has adhered to the course of reforms," she said.

According to Turnava, as Georgia is the number one reformer in many positions and constantly leads in international rankings in terms of various reforms, it has become possible to attract massive international assistance in such a short period.

"When we say that we carry out various activities in the field of health care, in the economy, and help the population, we are guided by this resource,” said Natia Turnava.

She also added that Georgia is committed to European values, and there is no threat in terms of receiving financial assistance.
