Georgia reports 1,030 coronavirus cases for April 15

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15

Georgia reported 1,030 coronavirus cases, 706 recoveries, and seven deaths on April 15, Trend reports via Georgian media.

As reported, some 32,801 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 20,919 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 11,882 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 538 COVID-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 119 cases, and the Adjara region with 103 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 292,244, among them, 279,389 people recovered and 3,908 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 3.14 percent, while 2.68 percent in the past 14 days.

There are 155 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2,616 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 394 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
