Georgia, Germany sign protocol on development of co-op

Georgia and Germany signed a protocol on development of cooperation, Trend reports via the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.

The agreement was signed between Deputy Minister of Finance, Ekaterine Guntsadze, and the Head of the South Caucasus Division of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany, South East and Eastern Europe, Santiago Alonso Rodriguez.

The future support of the Federal Republic of Germany is provided for such areas of development as vocational education, private sector support, energy and energy efficiency, sustainable urban development, as well as good governance.

The government talks on development cooperation between Georgia and the Federal Republic of Germany are held every two years.

The Federal Republic of Germany and Georgia have been cooperating in the field of development for almost 30 years. Within the framework of financial cooperation alone, the support of the Federal Republic of Germany amounted to about 1.3 billion euros in total, the statement said.
