The volume of money transfers from Azerbaijan to Georgia in October 2021 amounted to $7.1 million, which is $1.8 million more, compared to the same period of 2020 ($5.3 million), Trend reports via statistical data of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
However, the current figure decreased by $700,000, compared to $7.8 million of transferred money in September 2021.
Thus, Azerbaijan ranks 10 among main countries with largest amount of transferred money in Georgia in October 2021.
Meanwhile, the total volume of remittances in Georgia in October 2021 amounted to $206.6 million, which is $3.1 million less than in September 2021 ($209.7 million), and $24.9 million more than over the same period of 2020 ($181.7 million).
The remittances in Georgia from January through October 2021 totaled $1.9 billion, compared to $1.8 billion over the same period of 2020.
