Turkey’s fuel exports to Georgia plummet

Turkey’s total fuel exports to Georgia from January through September 2021 amounted to 14 million tons, which is a decrease of 84.6 percent, compared to 91.4 million tons over the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

The largest volume of fuel was exported to Georgia from Turkey in August 2021 and totaled 6.2 million tons, which is about 11 times more than in September 2021 (527,373 tons).

However, the volume of Turkey’s fuel exports to Georgia in September 2021 increased by 69.4 percent, compared to 311,310 tons of exports over the same period of 2020.

The lowest amount of fuel exported to Georgia from Turkey accounted for June 2021 and totaled 107,587 tons, which was a decrease of 89.4 percent, compared to 203,825 tons of exports in May 2021.

Meanwhile, the same figure decreased about 203 times, compared to 21.9 million tons of fuel exports in June 2020.
