Georgia shares its TOP-5 fuel exporters in 11M2021

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 15

Georgia’s imports of gasoline and diesel fuel from January through November 2021 amounted to 1.04 million tons, which is an increase of 3.7 percent, compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports via the Union of Petroleum Products Importers of Georgia.

Meanwhile, Georgia’s imports of gasoline over the first 11 months of 2021 amounted to 537,500 tons – an increase of 43,800 tons or 8.9 percent, compared to the same period of 2020.

Georgia’s imports of diesel fuel in the reporting period of 2021 totaled 504,800 tons – a decrease of 6,300 tons or 1.2 percent, compared to the same period of 2020.

TOP-5 exporters of gasoline and diesel fuel to Georgia (Jan. through Nov. 2021):

Turkmenistan – 229,000 tons (22 percent of total share);

Russia – 203,000 tons (19.5 percent of total share);

Azerbaijan – 194,500 tons (18.7 percent of total share);

Romania – 178,100 tons (17.1 percent of total share);

Bulgaria – 159,600 tons (15.3 percent of total share).
