The Georgian president Mikhail Saakashvili and Turkish foreign minister Abdulla Gul discussed the key aspects of the cooperation between the two sides, including in the sphere of economy and energy, as well as the issue of Georgias Euro-Atlantic integration.
The meeting between the Georgian president and Turkish foreign minister was held on July 5 in Washington. Georgian foreign minister Gela Bejuashvili also participated at the meeting.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached on the conducting of the meeting between Georgian president and Turkish prime minister and the heads of foreign policy departments of the two countries on July 12 in Istanbul.
