Georgia’s president to pay official visit to Britain

( Prime-News ) - Mikheil Saakashvili, president of Georgia will pay official visit to Britain on April 24-26.

Prime-News was told at the administration of the president that within the frameworks of the visit Saakashvili is scheduled to meet Tony Blair, British Prime Minister, and other British officials

Mikheil Saakashvili will also meet Minister of Defense of Britain, Head of Treasury, Finance Minister, and minister of Britain on European Affairs.

The president of Georgia will deliver speech "New developments in Caspian region and South Caucasus: Georgia's view" at the Royal United Services Institute for Defense Studies (RUSI).

Mikheil Saakashvili will also meet foreign journalists.

Aim of the Georgian side is to set deep relations with Britain and to gain country's support in Georgia's integration into the NATO.

Georgian side also intends to set cooperation in resolution of conflicts, simplification of issuing visas or Georgian citizens.
