Latest on the explosions and shoot-out in Izmir, Turkey
19:23 (GMT+4) Another explosion has occurred in the Turkish city of Izmir, NTV reports.
According to the TV channel, the explosion may be connected to the sappers’ attempt to blow up one of the suspicious cars parked outside the courthouse.
An operation is underway to neutralize the third terrorist.
According to Anadolu Agency, a police officer and a court employee were killed earlier during the previous explosions.
18:19 (GMT+4) Two policemen were killed and 10 more people were injured as a result of the explosion in Izmir, DHA reports.
According to the agency, the police are taking measures to neutralize another terrorist.
18:11 (GMT+4) Two terrorists were neutralized in a shoot-out that occurred after the explosion in Izmir, DHA reports.
According to the agency, the explosion was caused by a terrorist attack.
Earlier, Turkey's National Intelligence Organization warned of possible attacks by the “Islamic State” (aka IS, ISIL, ISIS or Daesh) terrorist group in all the provinces of the country.
17:50 (GMT +4) A car bomb exploded in a parking lot at the entrance to a court building in Izmir, DHA reports.
According to NTV, there was a skirmish at the scene after the explosion.
The injured were hospitalized.
17:47 (GMT +4) The police have cordoned off the blast area in the Turkish city of Izmir, NTV reports.
According to witnesses, the explosion occurred at 16:10 (GMT+4).
At least three people were injured, DHA reports.
17:33 (GMT +4) Two car bombs exploded in front of a courthouse in the Turkish city of Izmir, Hurriyet newspaper reports.
According to the newspaper, rescuers and police were sent to the scene.
