The latest on the helicopter crash in Tunceli, Turkey

19:50 (GMT+4) The Sikorsky S-70 helicopter crash in Tunceli Province was not due to a terrorist attack, Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu told NTV April 18.

“It seems the helicopter has crashed due to bad weather conditions,” the minister said.

There were 12 people on board, including seven policemen, one judge, one serviceman and three crewmen.

Rescuers have been able to get to the crash site only after six hours.

There is no report about the casualties so far.

"There were seven policemen, two judges and three crewmen in the helicopter," the newspaper reported.

The helicopter belonged to the country’s main police department.

Rescuers were sent to the crash site.
