Turkey’s trade turnover with Turkic-speaking countries up in September 2019

The export of the Turkish goods to the Turkic-speaking countries increased by 14 percent and reached $3.4 billion from January through September 2019, compared to the same period of 2018, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on Nov. 1.

The ministry stressed that the import of goods by Turkey from the Turkic-speaking countries increased by 5 percent and amounted to $2.4 billion.

"The export of the Turkish goods to the Turkic-speaking countries increased by 39.3 percent and reached $442.8 million in September 2019 compared to September 2018," the ministry said.

The import of goods by Turkey from the Turkic-speaking countries in September 2019 increased by 22.8 percent and reached $247.1 million compared to September 2018.

Turkey’s foreign trade turnover reached over $32.1 billion in September 2019.

The export of the Turkish goods to the Turkic-speaking countries grew by 0.08 percent and reached $15.2 billion in September 2019 compared to September 2018.

The import of goods by Turkey from the Turkic-speaking countries increased by 0.15 percent and reached $16.9 billion in September 2019 compared to September 2018, the ministry said.

From January through September 2019, Turkey’s total trade turnover amounted to over $286.4 billion.
