BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 10

By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:

If the Libyan government asks Turkey for support, Ankara may send military contingent there, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, Trend reports referring to Turkish media.

The Turkish president noted that Ankara won’t ask anyone for permission on this issue.

“Turkey is ready to provide any support to Libya,” Erdogan said.

Erdogan and Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya and prime pinister of the Government of National Accord of Libya Fayez al-Sarraj signed in Istanbul at the end of November memorandums on cooperation in the military sphere and on mutual understanding on the sea zones.

Egyptian and Greek foreign ministers Sameh Shoukry and Nikos Dendias called these memorandums illegal.
