Saudi authorities arrest six Yemeni terrorist suspects
The authorities of Saudi Arabia arrested on Sunday six Yemeni terrorist suspects who planned an attack in the country, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Saudi Interior Ministry said in a statement that the six men were arrested after investigations showed they have connections with the terrorist cell that carried out the Tuesday attack which claimed the lives of a policeman and two of the perpetrators in southern Arabia. According to investigations, the six defendants coordinated with the two killed terrorists who infiltrated into the country through southern borders, to carry out a terrorist attack in the country, Xinhua reported.
A Saudi policeman has been killed and one another wounded during an exchange of fires with three terrorist suspects who were dressed like women in Southern Arabia. Two terrorists were killed in the clash while the third was arrested.
The three terrorists possessed large amounts of arms and explosives including two Kalashnikov rifle, four pistols and twelve hand grenades. They were wearing explosive belts with two detonators each.
