Three Iraqi policemen have been killed in a blast on Saturday in the city of Kirkuk in the latest string of terrorist attacks which has rocked the oil-rich country since the 2003 US-led invasion, Press TV reported.
Four other security forces sustained injuries after an explosion caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) as a police vehicle was patroling the location in southwestern Kirkuk.
Security forces cordoned off the area after the attack and launched an investigation. The injured were also rushed to a nearby hospital to receive medical treatment.
The oil-rich city of Kirkuk, the center of a dispute between the Kurds and the Baghdad government, is located some 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad.
