German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle landed in Saudi Arabia Friday, the second stop on his six-day trip to Turkey and several Gulf states, dpa reported.
Westerwelle's talks in Riyadh were to focus on the Mideast peace process, Iran's nuclear programme, and developments in Yemen, among other topics.
The foreign minister was accompanied by a phalanx of German business people looking to make deals in the Gulf region.
