Jordan's King Abdullah II left Amman for London on Sunday for a "working visit" and talks with British officials on Middle East developments, the royal court said.
The monarch is expected to have talks with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on "efforts under way to remove obstacles impeding the resumption of peace negotiations and the accomplishment of peace between Israel and the Palestinians on the basis of the two-state solution", a statement said, dpa reported.
King Abdullah is scheduled to deliver a speech at the British Defence Academy that focuses on "challenges" facing the peace process in the region, it added.
