At least nine people were killed and 123 injured in two suicide attacks inside a football stadium, in the northern province of Nineveh Friday, a local police source told the German Press Agency DPA.
A driver stormed into the stadium, in the northern town of Tel Afar, with a small truck and detonated the car targeting the spectators in the stadium.
Shortly after that, a suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt among the people who were trying to help the injured, the source added.
Earlier on Friday, 18 people were injured by an explosive device that went off after Friday prayers in Hilla, a police source said.
The bomb was planted beside the Shiite Imam al-Kadhim mosque in the city, 100 kilometres south of the south of Baghdad.
