Seven people were killed in a residential building collapse in the central Cairo neighborhood of Darb al-Ahmar on Wednesday morning, Egypt's official MENA news agency reported.
Another was injured, suffering from moderate to severe fractures. The seven bodies were pulled from under the rubble and taken to Ahmed Maher Hospital morgue, Xinhua reported.
Prosecutors were informed and an investigation was launched.
Earlier this month, at least two people were killed when a five- storey residential building collapsed in Shubra District of Cairo.
