At least four people were wounded Friday morning when a roadside bomb went off in the capital city of Baghdad, a police source said.
The explosion occurred early morning in the east bank of the Tigris River, close to the Tahrir square, said the source, adding several shops and cars nearby were also damaged.
Xinhua reporters in central Baghdad clearly heard the explosion.
Various attacks continue in whole Iraq since the March parliamentary elections, leaving thousands of civilians killed and injured.
