Bomb blasts across Iraq killed at least 22 people, including two children, and injured dozens in key cities early Wednesday, DPA reported.

At least 11 people were killed and more than 30 injured when a car bomb exploded near a police station in the capital Baghdad. Witnesses said four policemen were among the dead.

Seven people were killed and 25 injured in another car bombing at a market in Karbala, an official said. The blast occurred near a police station in the city, which lies some 110 kilometres south of Baghdad.

In Fallujah, west of the capital, at least three people were killed in several bomb attacks.

In the northern city of Kirkuk, one person was killed and nine injured by a car bomb, police said.

A roadside bomb targeting a police patrol meanwhile killed two children and injured several people outside the city. Police in the area said an armed militant was killed while planting an explosive.
