Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will pay an official visit to Iran in the second half of September, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said.
Visits between Iran and Syria's officials run naturally, given the fact that there is a strong strategic partnership between Damascus and Tehran, the MEHR news agency quotes Mehmanperest.
He also said that Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Motakki will pay a working visit to Cairo to attend the summit of the troika - Iran, Egypt and Cuba - non-alignment countries. Date of Motakki's visit has not yet been determined.
