First day of Eid ul-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan months, will be announced as day-off in Uzbekistan and marked widely as holiday in the country. The first day of Eid ul-Fitr falls to 10 September.

First day of Eid ul-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan months, will be announced as day-off in Uzbekistan and marked widely as holiday in the country. The first day of Eid ul-Fitr falls to 10 September.

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution "On celebration of Ramadan hait" on 7 September 2010.

The document was adopted taking into account role and importance of Eid ul-Fitr in spiritual life of Uzbekistan, preserving and praising national-spiritual values.

The resolution entrusted national funds Nuroniy and Makhalla, Kamolat Youth Movement and other public structure organize celebrations in high level.

Local media were recommended to wide cover events related to celebrations of Eid ul-Fitr.
