Egyptian President Mubarak began Tuesday a bilateral meeting with US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton at the start of the latest set of direct Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, DPA reported.
Re-launched earlier this month in Washington, the second round of talks was taking place in the Egyptian Red Sea town of Sharm- el-Sheikh, with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expected to meet later in the day under US mediation.
