Ministry: Al-Qaeda behind attack on UK embassy car in Yemen
The rocket attack on a car carrying British diplomats in the Yemeni capital Sana'a Wednesday bore the "hallmarks of al-Qaeda," Yemen's Interior Ministry said, dpa reported.
The ministry said in a statement that police would "continue search for perpetrators of this terrorist crime that carry the hallmarks of al-Qaeda terrorist group."
It said one of the four British diplomats in the car was slightly injured in the attack.
Witnesses said two men disguised in street-cleaner uniforms fired a rocket-propelled grenade at the car as it passed them on the Thalatheen street at the Noqum area, in the east of the city.
