Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh said on Saturday that a girl was believed to have sent bomb parcels on US- bound flights which were discovered Friday, dpa reported.
The two parcels were found at airports in London and Dubai on flights originating in Yemen.
Saleh told reporters that Yemen had received a tipoff about the girl from the US authorities.
US officials had identified the girl through a mobile phone SIM card attached to one of the parcels.
Police had surrounded the girl's house, Saleh added.
