Foued Mbazaa was sworn in as Tunisia's interim president Saturday, a day after then president Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali went into exile following a month-long uprising, dpa reported.
The 77-year-old, who was until Saturday morning the speaker of Tunisia's parliament, was named interim president by the Constitutional Council earlier in the day.
