Arab, Western diplomats praise "brave" Libyan envoys
Several Arab and Western diplomats praised the decision of the entire Libyan mission to the United Nations in Geneva to resign, dpa reported.
One envoy of a major Western power called the move "brave and bold," a sentiment echoed by other key diplomats attending the UN Human Rights Council.
Many Arab diplomats were quick to commend their Libyan counterparts in private discussions and indicated they would work with the envoys as representatives of the people in Libya.
Officials spoke on condition of anonymity owing to diplomatic protocol.
The Libyan envoys, visibly shaken as they exited the UN building, said they would continue to serve "the will of the Libyan people.
