Brutal clashes were reported between the government forces and rebels in Yemen.

Heavy armament and armored vehicles were used during bloody clashes between the Republican Guard and insurgents near the government's military camp in Ta i z, Al Jazeera reported.

" We had every means to capture the camp, but we have to follow another tactics," a source close to the militants told Al Jazeera.

Yemeni officials said on Monday Yemeni warplanes' attack on suspected strongholds of militants in the south of the country killed 30 people with at least five civilian, Al Jazeera reported.

The Army has started campaign in the south of the country against the militants, who have committed disorders for some months in the country.

The U.S and Saudi Arabia scares that these disorders in Yemen to give Al Qaeda an opportunity to make attacks on Arabian Peninsula and outside it.

"The targets of air strikes were buildings where the suspected militants were hiding," an army official said.

Meanwhile, a security official announced about death of at least ten Al Qaeda insurgents during the night attacks.
