Around 150 supporters of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad demonstrated Saturday outside the Qatari embassy in Beirut, denouncing an Arab League decision to temporarily suspend Syria's membership, dpa reported.
"God bless Syria. God bless Bashar (al-Assad)," chanted the crowd as they waved Syrian flags.
"The Arab League is implementing a US agenda in the region," read a banner held by the protesters.
