Three people were killed Monday by Syrian security forces in the restive city of Homs, a Syrian activist based in Lebanon told dpa reported
"The Syrian army started to heavily shell Baba Amr neighbourhood in Homs, to prevent demonstrators from taking to the streets during a press conference by (Foreign Minister) Walid al-Moallem in Damascus," Omar Idlibi said.
"Initial reports said three people were killed and more than ten injured," he added.
