Economic sanctions, endorsed by the Arab League against Damascus, would hurt the people of Syria and most Arab countries, a Syrian government source said Monday dpa reported
"The League sanctions are politically motivated and will harm the Syrian people, not merely the government," the source told dpa, on condition of anonymity.
"These decisions are painful and regrettable. We will try to overcome them with the least possible losses," added the source.
