The Muslim Brotherhood organization, which after the change of power has begun to play an important role in the country's political life, will receive a majority of seats in parliament in Egypt, the expert on domestic policy of Egypt Rugaya Hamza said.

"Party of Freedom and Justice, organized by the Muslim Brotherhood, plays an important role in the country's political life, and the victory of this party is unquestionable," Hamza said to Trend over telephone from Cairo on Tuesday.

According to Hamza, the main rival of Freedom and justice party is an Islamic party Nur.

"It is expected that the party of freedom and justice receive 80 percent of the votes" Hamza said.

According to Hamza, the West, particularly the United States, understands that the power in Egypt will pass to Islamic movements and parties for many years, and therefore the authorities of the West are trying to establish a partnership with representatives of these parties. Particularly, the U.S. State Department statement that Washington is ready for dialogue with the Muslim Brotherhood, is aimed at the U.S. desire to move closer to the Islamic organization in Egypt, and proves that the U.S. recognize the impact of the "brothers" on the country.

The second day of voting in parliamentary elections is implemented in Egypt. According to the Higher Electoral Commission, the right to vote in the provinces where elections are held, have 17.5 million citizens from more than 50 million Egyptian voters. About 3,307 polling stations are created for them.

Three phases of voting are planned. After the closure of sections on Tuesday, employees of election commissions will start to count the votes. The vote on single member constituencies will be declared in the next few days. At the same time, the results based on party lists will be announced only in mid-January, after the third and final phase of the National Assembly elections are held.
