Syrian army deserters ambushed and killed four soldiers in the southern province of Daraa on Wednesday, an opposition group said dpa reported
The attack occurred on a road linking the village of Khirbet Ghazaleh and the town of Dael in Daraa province, near the Syrian border with Jordan, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights added.
Twelve soldiers were also injured in the attack on a military convoy, said the London-based group.
The reported attack came hours before an Arab League observer mission was to tour Daraa and the two dissident provinces of Hama and Idlib.
