At least 38 people were killed Friday by Syrian government forces, mainly in the central rebel province of Homs, activists said, dpa reported.
Twenty-five of the deaths occurred in the districts of Karam al- Zeitoun and Deir Balba in Homs due to government shelling attacks, said Abu Imad, a Syrian activist in northern Lebanon.
The 13 others were killed in other parts of Syria where government forces fired on anti-regime protests, according to the opposition.
