Two Brazilian tourists were released hours after being kidnapped in Egypt's southern Sinai desert, a security source said Monday dpa reproted
Bedouin tribesmen snatched the two Brazilian women from a tourist bus on Sunday along with their Egyptian tour guide and a policeman.
Security and army forces have secured the release of the four after cooperation from Bedouin tribal leaders, the source said.
It was the latest in a series of abductions by tribesmen in the Sinai peninsular to demand the release of relatives detained by the police. In February, two US tourists were abducted and released hours later.
Security has been a major concern since the ouster of Hosny Mubarak last year, with crime soaring despite promises by the government to plug a nationwide security vacuum.
