Syrian forces clashed Monday with a group of "terrorists" attempting to enter the restive northwestern province of Idlib, killing and wounding a number of infiltrators, dpa quoted Syria's state-run news agency SANA.
"The security authorities thwarted the attempt by a group of armed terrorists to enter Syria from Turkey, near an area between the towns of Darkush and Salqin," SANA reported.
According to SANA, "Turkish medical teams were seen evacuating the dead and wounded terrorists."
