The Lebanese army has intercepted two vehicles carrying weapons, with their suspected destination being Syria, a Lebanese security sources told dpa on Wednesday, dpa reported.
The army stopped the vehicles in al-Qaa after suspicions were raised that it was carrying weapons. The area witnessed heavy clashes between Syrian government troops and rebels on Tuesday, added the source.
The confiscated arms included machine guns, grenades, and rocket launchers, added the source.
Four Lebanese and six Syrian nationals were arrested over the suspected arms smuggling attempt, according to the source.
