The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces of Egypt has approved a law, which has already been passed by Parliament, on the political isolation of former associates of President Hosni Mubarak, The Voice of Russia.
The law has been signed and submitted for final approval by the People's Assembly and specifically prohibits those who served as: deputy prime minister, head of the ruling National Democratic Party or its secretary general, a member of the Political Council or the Secretariat, during a period of ten years before the fall of Mubarak, from running for president.
