Bomb blasts in Iraq kill ten

At least ten people were killed late Thursday in two bomb blasts that ripped through a mainly Sunni village on the outskirts of Baquba, 65 km north-east of Baghdad, Iraqi television said.
The blasts targeted a popular coffee shop in the Iraqi province of Diyala, dpa reported.
The broadcaster said the first explosion, carried by a suicide car bomber, killed 10 people and wounded 15 others, while the second which was planted inside the coffee shop and wounded three more people.
Last week, a series of blasts struck a number of Iraqi cities, killing at least 35 people and injuring more than 100.
Iraq has seen a rise in violence in recent months, increasing fears among Iraqis of the return of sectarian violence after US troops completed their withdrawal from the country in December.
