The nephew of ex-President of Yemen Ali Abdullah Saleh has agreed to leave the post of chief of the presidential guard. He was the last of the relatives and close associates of the former leader to lose a high-ranking position, The Voice of Russia reported.
One of the first steps taken by the new head of Yemen Mansour Al-Hadi was the restructuring of the armed forces. This week, after much persuasion, a decision to resign as commander of the country's Air Forces was finally taken by Ali Saleh's half-brother, Mohammed Saleh Al-Ahmar.
