Turkish Air Force has bombed bases of terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq since last evening, Turkish Milliyet newspaper reported on Wednesday.

Turkish Air Force has bombed bases of terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq since last evening, Turkish Milliyet newspaper reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, Turkish Air Force bombed Amadiya, Avasin, Zap regions in northern Iraq.

Militants of terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) committed three attacks on Turkish soldiers in several provinces in Turkey. As a result of firefight, 8 soldiers were killed, while 15 others were wounded.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has lasted for over 25 years, claiming over 40,000 lives. The PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by both the UN and the EU.
