The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is removing some of its foreign staff out of the Syrian capital Damascus to Lebanon for security reasons, an ICRC official in Beirut told dpa on Friday, dpa reported.
Hicham Hassan, an ICRC spokesman in Geneva, said that the Syrian Arab Red Crescent has also suspended some of its operations in the northern city of Aleppo due to the heavy fighting.
